The images displayed on this site are from my collection gathered over many more years than I care to count, although few pre-digital ones are shown here.  I have always been an avid explorer of New Zealand’s majestic countryside.  It wasn’t until my twenties that I procured my first camera (a Zenit SLR) that was swapped for the earlier rifle I was never at ease with, and which I later realised was just an excuse to get me into the Southern Alps which are at my back door (almost). The urge to preserve the feelings I had about the mountains and the the natural environment of this gifted country with its wild places and magnificent scenery was the catalyst for my photography and this website provides the opportunity to share it with others.
