The idea on this occasion was to photograph the Aurora but a sure thing turned into a damp squib, so I focused instead on honing my craft in recording the night sky – in particular the Milky Way and Christchurch under starlight. I do hope I get another opportunity at the same location, Aurora or otherwise to get the two (Milkyway & Christchurch) to align!

Most impressed with your photos. You certainly get out and about and have the ability to stay overnight which makes a difference particularly when you want to capture photos of the night sky.
